Bavent House  Award Winner

Declared ‘Highly Commended’ and ‘bold and brave’ by the judges of the Grand Designs Home of the Year 2010, Bavent House observes the modern open plan way of living whilst retaining a warm homely feeling. The angles of the zinc roofing cast shadows that change the appearance of the building throughout the day. Light pours through the building illuminating the open areas where a variety of materials are used to accentuate the new building. The property includes a ground source heat pump and underfloor heating throughout.

  • Striking iroko hardwood and zinc cladding blend the build gently into the surrounding landscape
  • Roof angles cast shadows that change the appearance of the building throughout the day
  • U-shaped plan, creating a south-facing courtyard
