Long Farm  Award Winner

Long Farm is a brand new, highly energy efficient home created in the local style of a traditional Suffolk long barn. Its inspiration was the derelict farmhouse which formerly occupied the site by the Suffolk coast.

The new build has an engineered timber frame with a striking brick façade. Aluminium clad Velfac windows minimise heat loss and specialist pumped insulation technology has delivered an optimum insulation solution for the wall cavities. An air source heat pump combines with underfloor heating to provide an impressive, efficient heating system which can be controlled remotely via the internet through a ‘NetMonitor’ system.

The cantilevered fireplace, polished concrete floor and impressive Iroko sliding doors make the kitchen/diner the perfect area for the family to enjoy the views across the fields out to the North Sea.

Long Farm shares its site with Bavent House, an award-winning new build project delivered Robert Norman Construction only a couple of years earlier.
