Marton House  Award Winner

Marton House is a new build dwelling in a popular Suffolk market town which replaced an existing post-war detached dwelling. The clients brief was for a contemporary new build which could accommodate their specific family needs which included an integrated hoists system and access lift.

The building is sympathetic to its central location with the fa├žade being made up of red stock brickwork, Siberian Larch cladding, powder coated aluminium windows and dormers with a natural slate roof covering.

Internally the house is full of light with a theme of neutral colours which are interspersed with feature face brickwork and Oak joinery items. The site access was extremely challenging being a central town location down a single width lane so careful planning was required with regard to deliveries and programming of key items such as the piling, beam and block/concrete plank, steel frame and the Swimspa.
