Marton House is a new build dwelling in a popular Suffolk market town which replaced an existing post-war detached dwelling. The clients brief was for a contemporary new build which could accommodate their specific family needs which included an integrated hoists system and access lift.
The building is sympathetic to its central location with the façade being made up of red stock brickwork, Siberian Larch cladding, powder coated aluminium windows and dormers with a natural slate roof covering.
Internally the house is full of light with a theme of neutral colours which are interspersed with feature face brickwork and Oak joinery items. The site access was extremely challenging being a central town location down a single width lane so careful planning was required with regard to deliveries and programming of key items such as the piling, beam and block/concrete plank, steel frame and the Swimspa.
